Adobe unveils CreativeCloud for individuals, enterprise; plans start atRs. 1,000 per month

Adobe has announced the launch of
Creative Cloud for individuals and
enterprise in India. The company had
earlier unveiled the same offering
targeted at small to medium size
teams.
The announcement comes hours after
the company revealed plans to ditch
its popular Creative Suite of
applications in favour of Creative
Cloud. Adobe is offering special
discounted pricing to existing CS users
in a bid to encourage them to move to
Creative Cloud. This signals a move
away from selling-software-in-a-box
to a complete subscription model.
Adobe Creative Cloud provides users
with unlimited access to download and
install applications such as Photoshop,
Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Muse
and Edge. Creative Cloud subscription
also enables access to Web tools like
Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, as
well as Audio-Video tools like
Premiere Pro, After Effects and other
apps that were earlier part of the CS6
Master Collection.
Adobe Creative Cloud for individuals is
priced at Rs. 2,700 per month for the
entire suite of applications, if you
make an annual commitment, or Rs.
4,000 on a month to month basis.
Access to a single application like
Photoshop can be yours at Rs. 1,000
per month. For signing up and more
details, head to Adobe's website.
Pricing for Adobe Creative Cloud for
enterprise is available on request.
"Adobe Creative Cloud's advanced
capabilities are making it a hit with the
worldwide creative community: more
than half a million paid members, and
well over 2 million free members have
signed up for Creative Cloud since it
was launched globally in April 2012,"
said Umang Bedi, Managing Director,
Adobe South Asia. "Creative Cloud is
dramatically changing how creative
professionals and businesses publish
finished work, and deliver enhanced
services that build and power
websites, mobile apps, tablet
publications, online portfolios, and
content for virtually any medium and
device."
"Among the upgrades available is
inbuilt support for ten Indian
languages in Photoshop CC and
Illustrator CC, so this is good news for
creative professionals in our market,"
Bedi said.
